Why the hell does writing have to be such an unreliable activity? Some days I crap out the best shit I could ever write, and other days I write about Jimmy Dean from Block 13.
It's not just in my poems either, writing stories and the like by me aren't exactly made with the steadiest hand. I mean, look at Rancor. Sure it was a pretty lame story, but stylistically speaking the first chapter was AMAZING and I've never written better dialogue. 5 more chapters and I'm only writing because I want to get it over with. I'm thinking of rewriting the story from chapter 2 onwards, just because the first chapter brings back such a wonderful memory.
In related news, I've tried my hand at writing lyrics after the fiasco that was "no DOUBT!"; none of them are really that serious, unless a girl eating too much candy and then dying from liposuction is really your cup of tea. I may post them up later, but honestly they are far from my best. Besides, when I wrote them they were more meant to compliment music than stand out as something of a classic. Ah well.
